Process and Tabulate OPSCAN Sheets includes the following: Process OPSCAN answer sheets system for instructors, researchers, and staff.

How to Submit a Request:

Submit materials properly completed in #2 pencil, including complete, accurate, answer key sheets, to ITS main office.

Turnaround Time:

ITS will not assign a part-time staffer to process exam answer sheets.  Therefore, scanning of exam answer sheets is dependent on job volume, which can be significant during exam season, and the availability of the primary and secondary scanning experts, who work 9am-5pm.  Turnaround for properly prepared submissions with all required information supplied is one business day.  However, during exam season, ITS endeavors to process exam packages on a rolling basis, while the instructor waits.  That service is usually only available until 4:00pm M-F.  Processing may be delayed if answer keys are incomplete or sheets are not properly filled.

OPSCAN packets may also be submitted in a SEALED envelope during ITS extended support hours (5-11pm M-TH, 9-5 sat/sun), to be processed and returned during normal business hours.

During regular business hours, ITS Help Desk addresses support requests on an immediate basisDuring extended support hours (evenings and weekends), ITS provides phone support on an immediate basis, but non-emergency on-site activities may be deferred to the next business day.

Required User Input:

  • Professor's contact information and department - preferably including an off-campus contact #
  • Properly collated and completed OPSCAN answer sheets
  • Complete and accurate answer key sheet

Prerequisites or Restrictions:

Instructor may be required to present identification to retrieve previously submitted forms.  A designee must have a suitable permission slip from the instructor.
