Description:
Provide Linux Accounts for CIS Students and Faculty includes the following:
- Provision Linux accounts for specific courses each semester
- Communicate credentials to users
- Assisting users with accessing their Linux accounts and help with any technical issues
How to Submit a Request:
- Faculty: Must contact the ITS Web Lab to request Linux account.
- Students: Linux account credentials are handed to students on paper by an ITS Web Lab representative located at the front desk.
Turnaround Time:
- Faculty: A new faculty must contact ITS Web Lab and request for Linux account prior to beginning of semester. Note: Faculty that have already received their Linux account credentials prior to current semester, may still use the same information to login.
- Student: Linux accounts are created as enrollments begin for the upcoming term and are immediately available . Students are communicated by the faculty at the beginning of semester on when and where to claim student Linux accounts.
EMPL-ID and proof of identity
Prerequisites or Restrictions:
- Faculty: Must be teaching a relevant CIS class at current semester
- Student: Must be a registered CIS student
