Description:

Off-campus access to Library databases and electronic Journals must be processed through a tool called EZ-proxy.  This is because the publishers want to be sure that only BC faculty and students are using the resources they are renting to the college.  EZ-proxy access is available to anyone with an active BC email account.  EZProxy is not necessary when using computers connected to the college wired network.

How to Submit a Request:

  • For access to EZ-Proxy support, contact the Library circulation or reference desk.

Turnaround Time:

Library staff are available for initial troubleshoot of basic EZ-Proxy access issues located in Library office.

Required User Input:

If user is having issues accessing the Library network, provide ITS Network Support Services the following information:

  • User Login information to check if correct one is used or if user has been locked out of their account
  • Specific error message(s) user is receiving
  • Computer IP address

If user is having issues accessing particular database/article/journal or entire site provide specific name of the database, article, journal or entire site.
