Set Up Office Phone Menus (Voicemail or ACD) involves creating a menu that users calling can use to select which person or area they want to connect to - sometimes called "auto attendant". Setup involves the following steps:
- Gather scripts for menu readout and which extensions or sub-messages apply to each choice.
- Create the phone menu
- ACD related menu - coordinate with ITS Help Desk to install ACD software in office's computers for calls management and monitoring
- For phone menus requests (Voicemail or ACD): Call or email ITS Telecom Group.
- For ACD software installation/issues: Call or email ITS Help Desk.
ITS Telecomm will typically respond to the request within 1-2 business days. However, resolution time for this service will typically take at minimum 3 business days after the menu requirements and scripts have been finalized.
- Description of proposed menu and associated actions
- Requester's contact information
- Menu Preferences and extensions for menu programming
- Full names and ACD users' contact information for ACD programming
Area Head authorization required.
