Description:
Managing Declaration of Major/Minor System for includes the following steps: update the data in table that contains a list of all active and inactive plans/sub-plans (majors/minors/concentration).

Turnaround Time:
Typically takes at minimum 3 business days.
For new plan/sub-plan:
- Code(s) and the name of the plan/sub-plan as it appears in CUNYfirst
- Department owner
- If allowed to declare online.
For existing plan/sub-plan:
- Code(s) and name of plan/sub-plan as it appears in CUNYfirst
- If allowed to declare online.
For existing/new plan/sub-plan:
- The Office of the Registrar must notify ITS of the date range when the system should not be available to students online.
Prerequisites or Restrictions:
- Office of the Registrar or department heads must submit requests.
- Only Undergraduate plans/sub-plans can be declared online. If the department chooses not to allow the students to declare their plans/sub-plans online, they must use the online system to reject students' requests or approve and send them for processing to the Office of Registrar.
- Graduate program students cannot declare Majors/Minors online but must use the "graduate program change" application in BC WebCentral.
