Description:
Assist Users with Accessing Restricted Network Jacks (AVLAN) includes the following:
- Process AVLAN request forms to remove or add network restrictions to publicly accessible network jacks
- Coordinate with user to adjust the access controls on the target jack
How to Submit a Request:
Call, fax or email ITS Network Group, or the ITS Help Desk which will provide an AVLAN application form.
Turnaround Time:
Network jack security adjustments typically take 1-2 weeks.
Complete AVLAN request form.
Prerequisites or Restrictions:
Area Head authorization may be required. If students will work in the area, the office may have to commit to supervise access to the space and monitor use.
